Chronic and/or Persistent Pain - a Silent Epidemic in the Community
20% of the population(4,000,000 people) of Australia live with chronic or persistent pain. If one or more persons are affected such as carers, family or workmate - than more than 40% of the population is affected by pain. The Chronic Pain Association of Australia (CPAA) was Incorporated as a non-profit charitable association in November 2006. Why? Simply because just too many of us live with unrelenting pain. CPAA is committed to work with with governments, the health care system and health professionals to better the lives and lifestyles of persons with chronic or persistent pain. CPAA is registered as a non-profit charity. Donations over $2.00 made to Chronic Pain Association of Australia are tax deductible.
